These terms apply when you use BigQTools, the free online file tools at bigqtools.com. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your files.
Accepting these terms
By using BigQTools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. BigQTools is not directed to children under 13. If you are younger than the age your local law requires to use online services on your own, use BigQTools only with a parent’s permission.
The service
BigQTools provides online tools for PDF, video, audio, image and archive files. The tools are free and do not require an account. Files are processed on BigQTools servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We provide the service “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or remove tools and features at any time. The service may also be interrupted, for example during maintenance or because of a technical problem, sometimes without advance notice.
Acceptable use
You may use BigQTools only for lawful purposes. In particular, you agree to:
- upload, import and process only files that you own or have the right to use;
- not process content that is illegal or that infringes anyone else’s rights, such as copyright or privacy;
- not upload malware or files designed to harm the service or other people;
- not use the service to harass, defraud or otherwise harm anyone;
- not use scripts, bots or other automated means to submit files or run tools in bulk;
- not try to get around usage limits, for example by repeatedly clearing cookies or rotating sessions or IP addresses;
- not attack, probe, overload or disrupt the service, or try to access files or data that are not yours;
- import from a link only files that you are allowed to download.
Limits and file storage
To keep BigQTools fair and available to everyone, these limits apply:
- up to 100 MB per file;
- up to 20 files per run (some tools accept fewer);
- up to 30 processing runs per browser session in 24 hours, plus a broader per-IP limit to prevent abuse;
- short-term rate limits on uploads.
We may adjust these limits as the service changes.
Files are deleted automatically 2 hours after they are created. BigQTools is not a storage service: always keep your own copies of the originals and download your results promptly. Once a file has been deleted, whether on schedule or with “Delete now”, it can no longer be downloaded.
Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the results you create. By using a tool, you give BigQTools only the permission it needs to store your files temporarily, process them as you asked and deliver the results to you, including saving them to your Google Drive when you ask. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.
You are responsible for the files you process and for how you use the results.
Google Drive
If you use Google Drive with BigQTools, your use of Google’s services is also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. How BigQTools accesses and handles your Drive files is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke BigQTools’ access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Results and accuracy
We aim to produce good results, but automated processing is not perfect. Converting between formats can change layout or fonts, OCR can misread text, and compression can reduce quality. Check every result before you rely on it, especially for important documents, and keep your originals.
No warranties
BigQTools is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, or that results will be accurate or suitable for your particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BigQTools and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it. This includes files that are lost, deleted or processed incorrectly, lost data, lost profits and business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Suspension
We may block or limit access to BigQTools, or refuse to process files, for anyone who breaks these terms, abuses the service or puts other users or the service at risk. When it is needed to stop abuse, we may do so without notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date shown on this page tells you which version is current, and we will point out significant changes here. If you keep using BigQTools after a change, you accept the updated terms.
