How to use Rearrange PDF pages in 3 steps

  1. Bring in your PDF

Drag and drop the PDF onto the page, click to choose it from your device or paste it with Ctrl+V. Picking the file from Google Drive works as well.

  2. Type the new page order

Enter the sequence in “New page order”, listing every page where you want it. For a 10-page file, 10,1-9 moves the last page to the front.

  3. Rearrange and download

Click “Rearrange pages” to get the reordered PDF, then download it or save it to Google Drive. You can continue to Add page numbers or Compress PDF.

Features

Rearrange PDF pages rebuilds a document in the page order you type, which is handy when a scanner mixed up the sheets, a summary belongs at the front or an appendix should move to the end. For example, 3,1,2,4-10 puts page 3 first and keeps pages 4 to 10 after it. List every page in the new order you want.

  • Set the order with single pages and ranges, e.g. 3,1,2,4-10.
  • Move the last page to the front with one line, such as 10,1-9 for a 10-page file.
  • Every page keeps its content; only its position in the document changes.
  • The output keeps your file name plus -sap-xep, e.g. thesis.pdf becomes thesis-sap-xep.pdf.
  • Free with no account needed, for one PDF up to 100 MB per run.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to list every page?

Yes, include all pages in the new order. If you also want to drop some pages, use the Delete PDF pages tool for that.

Can I reverse the page order?

Yes. Type the page numbers from last to first, for example 5,4,3,2,1 for a five-page file.

Does rearranging change what’s on the pages?

No. Text, images and page sizes stay exactly as in the original; the tool only changes where each page sits in the document.

How do I combine two PDFs and then reorder the pages?

Merge them with Merge PDF, download the result and open it in this tool. Page positions then count straight through the merged file.
