How to use Merge PDF in 3 steps

  1. Add the PDFs to combine

    Select several files at once, drop a whole batch onto the page or choose them in Google Drive. Google Docs picked from Drive are exported to PDF first.

  2. Put the files in order

    Drag each file by its handle or use the arrow buttons to move it up or down. The file at the top becomes the first part of the merged PDF.

  3. Merge and save

    Click “Merge PDF”, then download the file, save it to Google Drive or copy its download link. You can also continue to add page numbers or compress the merged file.

Can I change the order of the files before merging?

Yes. Drag a file by the handle on its left or use the arrow buttons; the list order is the page order of the merged PDF.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Between 2 and 20 files per run, each up to 100 MB. For bigger sets, merge them in batches and then merge the resulting files together.

What if one of the PDFs is password protected?

Locked files need to be opened first. Run that file through Unlock PDF with its password, then add the unlocked copy to your merge list.
