How to use OCR PDF in 3 steps

  1. Upload the scanned PDF

    Drag the scan onto the upload area or click to choose it from your computer or phone. You can also bring it in from Google Drive or a direct download link.

  2. Select the document language

    Both is the default and fits documents that mix Vietnamese and English. Choose Vietnamese or English when the document uses only one language.

  3. Run OCR and download

Does OCR handle Vietnamese diacritics?

Yes. Choose Vietnamese or Both to recognize accented Vietnamese text. Clear, straight and well-lit scans give the most accurate results.

Can I edit the text after OCR?

The result is a PDF where text can be searched and copied, not an editable document. Continue to PDF to Word to get a .docx file for Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

How do I OCR documents I photographed with my phone?

Can it read handwriting?

OCR is most accurate on clear printed text. Handwriting, stamps and blurry scans are often misread or skipped.
