How to use Split PDF in 3 steps

  1. Upload the PDF to split

Drop the file onto the upload area, click to browse your device or press Ctrl+V to paste a copied file. Google Drive files and direct download links work too.

  2. Choose how to split

Keep “Every page” to get one PDF per page, or pick “After pages…” and enter page numbers like 3,7. With 3,7 you get three files: pages 1–3, pages 4–7 and the rest.

  3. Split and get the ZIP

Click “Split PDF” to receive a ZIP with every part, then download it or save it to Google Drive. On a phone, continue with Extract archive to download the PDFs one by one.

Features

Split PDF turns one PDF into several smaller files, which helps when you need to send chapters separately, pull apart a batch of scanned invoices or submit only part of a packet. You can give every page its own file or cut the document right after specific pages. The resulting files are bundled into a single ZIP, so you download them in one go.

  • Two modes: one file per page, or cuts after the page numbers you enter, such as 3,7.
  • All parts are packed into one ZIP named after your file with -tach, e.g. contract-tach.zip.
  • Open the ZIP in Extract archive with one click, without uploading anything again.
  • One PDF up to 100 MB per run, added from your device, Google Drive or a direct link.
  • Pages are copied into the new files unchanged, with no watermark or logo added.

Frequently asked questions

What does “3,7” in the split field mean?

The file is cut right after page 3 and again after page 7. For a 10-page document you get three PDFs: pages 1–3, 4–7 and 8–10.

Why is the result a ZIP file?

Splitting creates several PDFs, so they are bundled into one ZIP for a single download. Most computers and phones can open ZIP files, or you can use the Extract archive tool on BigQTools.

How do I pull out just one page?

Choose “Every page” and keep the file for the page you need from the ZIP. To keep a run of pages together in one PDF instead, remove the others with Delete PDF pages.

Does splitting reduce page quality?

No. Pages are moved into new files as they are, so text and images look the same. The parts can add up to more than the original size when each one carries the same fonts or images.
