Quality is set to Balanced; pick High to keep more detail or Smallest for the lightest files. Leave Format on Keep or switch to JPG or WebP.

Features
Compress image reduces the file size of up to 20 pictures per run with ImageMagick and shows how much each one saved. It’s useful for website images, email attachments and application portals with strict upload limits. Every image is saved again at the quality level you pick, and EXIF data such as camera model and GPS location is removed.
- Three Quality levels, High, Balanced (default) and Smallest, applied to every image in the run.
- Keep each image’s format or convert to JPG or WebP while compressing for extra savings.
- PNG files are re-encoded with maximum compression; Smallest also reduces them to a 256-color palette.
- Each result shows its size before and after; with several images you also get one ZIP of all results.
- Strips EXIF metadata, including camera details and GPS location, from the compressed images.
- Files are renamed with “-nen” added: “profile.jpg” becomes “profile-nen.jpg”.
Frequently asked questions
Which quality level should I use?
Balanced suits most photos for websites and messaging. Choose High when the image will be printed or zoomed in, and Smallest when an upload limit is tight and a slightly softer look is acceptable.
Why do PNG files shrink less than JPGs?
PNG has no quality setting like JPG, so it can only be re-packed with maximum compression. For bigger savings, choose Smallest to cut the palette to 256 colors, or switch Format to JPG or WebP; JPG can’t keep transparency.
Does the compressed photo still show where it was taken?
No. EXIF metadata, including the camera model and GPS coordinates, is stripped from the result, so sharing it doesn’t reveal the location.
How do I download 20 compressed images at once?
Each image has its own download button with its before and after size. When there is more than one result, a single ZIP containing all of them is added too.
