How to use Merge audio in 3 steps

  1. Add your audio files

    Select several files at once, drag them onto the page, or choose them from Google Drive. Direct download links work too.

  2. Order the list, set a crossfade

    Drag files up or down to set the order. Crossfade between parts starts at 0 seconds (back to back) and goes up to 5; MP3 is the default output format.

  3. Merge and save

    Click Merge audio, then download the file or save it to Google Drive. To trim the joined track or change its volume, continue in another tool.

Features

Merge audio joins 2 to 20 music or voice files into a single track. It’s handy when a meeting or lecture was recorded in several parts, or when you need one continuous background track for an event. Files play in list order, and an optional crossfade of up to 5 seconds blends each part into the next.

  • Joins 2–20 MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC, WMA, Opus, AMR, M4R, AIFF or WebM files per run, each up to 100 MB.
  • The list order is the playback order; drag and drop to rearrange before merging.
  • Crossfade from 0 to 5 seconds in 0.5-second steps: one part fades out while the next fades in.
  • One output file in MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG or M4R, named after the first file with “-ghep” added.
  • Sent over HTTPS and deleted after 2 hours; “Delete now” removes the files right away.

Frequently asked questions

How long should the crossfade be?

Keep it at 0 for lectures and meetings so the parts follow each other directly. For music, 2–3 seconds lets one song blend into the next; the total length gets slightly shorter because the parts overlap.

Can I join an MP3 with an M4A or WAV file?

Yes. Each file just needs to be in a supported audio format; the merged result is saved in the single output format you choose.

What if I want to join video clips?

This tool accepts audio files only. To combine clips into one video, use Merge videos, which takes up to 10 files per run.

Are my meeting recordings stored?

Only briefly. Files are deleted automatically 2 hours after upload, or as soon as you click “Delete now” once you have your merged file.
