Frequently asked questions
Will the formatting stay the same?
The layout is rebuilt to look close to the PDF, but it won’t always match exactly. Text may sit in text boxes positioned like the original page, which keeps small edits easy, while reflowing whole paragraphs can take some cleanup in Word.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
A scan only holds pictures of pages, so the Word file would contain images instead of editable text. Run OCR PDF first, then use Continue to send the result to PDF to Word without uploading it again.
What if the PDF is password-protected?
A PDF locked with an open password can’t be converted. Remove the password with Unlock PDF (you’ll need the correct one), then convert the unlocked copy.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The site works in any modern mobile browser, and the downloaded .docx opens in the Word or Google Docs app.
