These terms apply when you use BigQTools, the online file tools at bigqtools.com. They also apply to the BigQTools apps for Android and iOS. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your files and data, and our Refund Policy if you buy a paid plan.
BigQTools is operated by BigQ (“BigQTools”, “we”). These terms are an agreement between you and BigQ.
Accepting these terms
By using BigQTools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. BigQTools is not directed to children under 13. If you are younger than the age your local law requires to use online services on your own, use BigQTools only with a parent’s permission.
The service
BigQTools provides online tools for PDF, video, audio, image and archive files. Every tool is free to use with no sign-up. You can choose to sign in for higher limits and a processing history and, when paid plans are offered, buy a plan for extra benefits. Files are processed on BigQTools servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We provide the service “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or remove tools and features at any time. The service may also be interrupted, for example during maintenance or because of a technical problem, sometimes without advance notice.
Accounts
Accounts are optional. If you choose to sign in, you use your Google, Facebook or Apple account; BigQTools does not create a separate password. You agree to:
- use only your own account and keep your account with the sign-in provider secure;
- not share your BigQTools account, and not resell or let others use the benefits of a paid plan;
- not create several accounts to get around limits.
You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page. A plan bought on the website is then cancelled immediately. A plan bought through Google Play or the App Store is not cancelled automatically: cancel it in the store, or you will still be charged. See the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
You may use BigQTools only for lawful purposes. In particular, you agree to:
- upload, import and process only files that you own or have the right to use;
- not process content that is illegal or that infringes anyone else’s rights, such as copyright or privacy;
- not upload malware or files designed to harm the service or other people;
- not use the service to harass, defraud or otherwise harm anyone;
- not use scripts, bots or other automated means to submit files or run tools in bulk;
- not try to get around usage limits, for example by repeatedly clearing cookies, rotating sessions or IP addresses, or creating several accounts;
- not attack, probe, overload or disrupt the service, or try to access files or data that are not yours;
- import from a link only files that you are allowed to download;
- not copy, reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the apps or the service, except where the law expressly allows it;
- not scrape, crawl or mine data from the service, or collect other users’ data;
- not frame or mirror the service, or present it as part of another product;
- not sell, rent or resell the service or access to it.
Limits and file storage
To keep BigQTools fair and available to everyone, each way of using it has its own limits. When you use it without signing in:
- up to 100 MB per file;
- up to 20 files per run (some tools accept fewer);
- up to 30 processing runs per browser session in 24 hours, plus a broader per-IP limit to prevent abuse;
- short-term rate limits on uploads.
When you sign in or have a paid plan, your plan’s limits (file size, files per run, runs per day, parallel jobs, how long files are kept) apply to your account as shown on the pricing page. A tool may have its own technical limit below your plan’s limit. We may adjust these limits as the service changes.
Files are deleted automatically 2 hours after they are created, or after your paid plan’s retention time. BigQTools is not a storage service: always keep your own copies of the originals and download your results promptly. Once a file has been deleted, whether on schedule or with “Delete now”, it can no longer be downloaded.
Paid plans
Plans apply where you buy them
BigQTools sells paid plans in three places: on the website bigqtools.com, in the Android app (through Google Play) and in the iOS app (through the App Store). Each plan applies only where you bought it:
- a plan bought on the website applies only on the website;
- a plan bought through Google Play applies only in the Android app;
- a plan bought through the App Store applies only in the iOS app.
You use the same account in all three places, but prices, benefits and daily limits are counted separately for each one. To use a paid plan somewhere else, you need to buy it there.
Buying on the website
These terms apply when you buy a paid plan on the website:
- Prices and payment. Prices are listed in US dollars on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe; Stripe may show the price converted into your currency, and tax (if any) is added depending on your country and shown before you pay.
- Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at that period’s price, until you cancel. By buying a plan you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method each period.
- Cancel anytime. Cancel from your account page, under Plan (through Stripe’s customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep your benefits until then and are not charged again.
- Refunds. Your first payment is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days; see the Refund Policy for details. This 14-day refund applies only to plans bought on the website.
- Changing plans. You can move up or down at any time; Stripe prorates the difference for the days left in the period.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your plan stays active during a grace period (currently 7 days) so you can update your payment method; after that your account returns to the free plan.
- Price and benefit changes. New prices apply to new subscriptions; if the price of the plan you are on changes, we will email you before the renewal it affects. If we reduce the benefits of a plan on sale, we will also tell you in advance and you may cancel.
- Promotion codes (when offered) follow the conditions stated with the code and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Buying through Google Play
- Payment. Plans are sold and paid for through Google Play, under the Google Play Terms of Service. The price shown is Google Play’s price for your country, including tax where it applies.
- Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
- Free trials. If a plan comes with a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Cancelling. Cancel in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or from My plan in the app. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep your benefits until then. Google’s guide to cancelling
- Changing plans. You can move up or down in the app; Google Play works out the difference.
- Refunds. Under Google Play’s refund policy. You can ask Google Play or us; see the Refund Policy.
- Deleting your account does not cancel the plan. Your Google Play plan keeps being charged until you cancel it in Google Play.
- Price changes. Google or Apple tell you about a price change of a store plan under their own rules, before it applies to you.
Buying through the App Store
- Payment. Plans are sold and paid for through the App Store and handled by Apple. Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
- Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Free trials. If a plan comes with a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Cancelling. Cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Apple’s guide to cancelling
- Changing plans. You can move up or down in the app or in your subscription settings; Apple applies the change.
- Refunds. Only Apple can refund a plan bought through the App Store: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. BigQTools cannot refund these plans.
- Deleting your account does not cancel the plan. Your App Store plan keeps being charged until you cancel it in your Apple account settings.
- Price changes. Google or Apple tell you about a price change of a store plan under their own rules, before it applies to you.
Fair use
Some benefits are described as “unlimited”, such as the daily processing runs of some plans. This means there is no fixed cap for one person’s normal use, but a very high cap still applies to prevent abuse and protect the service for everyone. The acceptable use rules, including no scripts or bots running tools in bulk and no account sharing, still apply. If your usage is far above normal, we may contact you or limit it temporarily before taking any other step.
Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the results you create. By using a tool, you give BigQTools only the permission it needs to store your files temporarily, process them as you asked and deliver the results to you, including saving them to your Google Drive when you ask. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.
You are responsible for the files you process and for how you use the results.
Google Drive
If you use Google Drive with BigQTools, your use of Google’s services is also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. How BigQTools accesses and handles your Drive files is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke BigQTools’ access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Results and accuracy
We aim to produce good results, but automated processing is not perfect. Converting between formats can change layout or fonts, OCR can misread text, and compression can reduce quality. Check every result before you rely on it, especially for important documents, and keep your originals.
AI features
Some tools use artificial intelligence, for example to create images, remove backgrounds, turn speech into text or translate. What you put in (text, images, audio) and what you get out are your content, as described in “Your content”.
AI results are produced automatically. They can be wrong or incomplete, they may look like results other people get, and we do not promise that they are unique. Check a result before you rely on it or publish it.
You must not use the AI tools to create or edit:
- any sexual content involving minors. We have zero tolerance for this and report it to the authorities;
- sexually explicit content;
- intimate images of a real person without their consent, or images, voices or videos of a real person made to deceive (deepfakes);
- content that promotes violence, hatred or self-harm;
- content for illegal activity, or false information meant to deceive people.
Do not try to get around our safety filters. We may block prompts and results that break these rules, and suspend the accounts that send them.
API, MCP and API keys
You can connect AI assistants and your own software to BigQTools with an API key (for example through MCP). When you do:
- keep your API keys secret. They are personal: do not share them or put them in public code. You are responsible for everything done with your keys, so revoke a key from your account page as soon as you think someone else has it;
- stay within the rate limits and plan limits, and slow down when the service tells you to;
- do not resell the API or sell access to it;
- we may change, limit or suspend the API, or a key, at any time, for example to protect the service.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve BigQTools, without paying you or owing you anything.
Rewarded ads
In the apps you may choose to watch an ad to get a reward, such as extra processing runs. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, sold or moved to another account, and may change or end at any time.
The iOS app and Apple
If you use the BigQTools app for iPhone or iPad, these points also apply:
- these terms are between you and BigQ, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content;
- you may use the app only on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service;
- Apple has no duty to provide any maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app does not work as promised, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty duty for the app;
- Apple is not responsible for dealing with any claims by you or anyone else about the app, such as product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or claims that the app infringes someone else’s intellectual property;
- you confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or listed as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
No warranties
BigQTools, whether you use it for free or on a paid plan, is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, or that results will be accurate or suitable for your particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BigQTools and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it. This includes files that are lost, deleted or processed incorrectly, lost data, lost profits and business interruption. If you have a paid plan, our total liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid BigQTools in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Suspension
We may block or limit access to BigQTools, block an account, or refuse to process files, for anyone who breaks these terms, abuses the service or puts other users or the service at risk. When it is needed to stop abuse, we may do so without notice. If an account with a paid plan is blocked for breaking these terms, the remaining time is not refunded; if we stop offering a paid plan when you have done nothing wrong, we refund the unused part of your payment.
Translations
These terms are available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version prevails.
General
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
- These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about BigQTools.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over BigQTools; your rights under them do not change.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you have a problem with BigQTools, please contact us first at [email protected]; we will try to resolve it with you within 30 days. Any dispute we cannot resolve this way will be settled by the courts of Hong Kong. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date shown on this page tells you which version is current, and we will point out significant changes here; subscribers to a paid plan are also told about significant changes by email. If you keep using BigQTools after a change, you accept the updated terms. The update of 22 September 2026 adds the accounts, paid plans and fair use sections. The update of 21 October 2026 explains that plans apply where you buy them, adds the terms for Google Play and the App Store, and adds the sections on AI features, the API, feedback, rewarded ads, translations, general terms and governing law.
