How to use Image to Video in 3 steps

  1. Choose a photo

Drop one JPG, PNG or WebP photo on the page, up to 20 MB. Portraits, pets and landscapes all work.

  2. Describe the motion

Write what should move rather than what the picture shows, for example “the fox turns its head to the camera, light snow falls”. Choose a 3 or 5 second clip.

  3. Wait and download

Press Create video and wait about 3–5 minutes. Watch the clip on the page, download the MP4 or send it on to Compress Video, Video to GIF or Trim Video.

Features

Image to Video uses AI to set a still photo in motion the way you describe it: a head turning, hair in the wind, clouds drifting or the camera slowly moving in. Choose a 3 or 5 second clip; each takes about 3–5 minutes to make, so the tool is part of the Plus and Pro plans. Signed in, you can leave the page and find the video waiting in Account › History.

  • Turns one JPG, PNG or WebP photo into a 3 second (about 3 minutes) or 5 second (about 5 minutes) MP4 clip.
  • Describe the motion in English or any other language; descriptions are translated into English first.
  • Signed in, you can leave the page; the video waits in Account › History.
  • Part of the Plus and Pro plans, with a daily number of clips that depends on the plan.
  • Descriptions with disallowed content are blocked before the video is made.
  • Watch it on the page, then compress, trim or turn the clip into a GIF with BigQTools video tools.

Frequently asked questions

Why does image to video need a Plus or Pro plan?

Each clip keeps an AI server busy for about 3–5 minutes, far longer than an image, so the tool is open to Plus and Pro plans with a daily number of clips per plan. Once you have a plan, the tool page shows how many clips you have left today.

How should I describe the motion?

Say what moves and how the camera moves, without describing what is already in the photo, for example “the girl smiles and turns to the left, a light breeze in her hair, the camera stays still”. Short, specific descriptions land closer to what you want than many requests at once.

Do I have to keep the page open while the video is made?

No. When you are signed in you can close the page and open the video later from Account › History. If you keep the page open, the video appears as soon as it is ready.

Are my photo and video stored?

Your photo and the video are kept for your plan’s file retention time and then deleted from BigQTools servers; you can also delete them right away. BigQTools does not use your photos or descriptions to train AI.
