  1. Upload the file

    Drop an audio or video file onto the upload area or click to browse. Files stored in Google Drive and direct download links are accepted as well.

  2. Pick a format and bitrate

    Output format starts at MP3 and Bitrate at 192 kbps. WAV and FLAC don’t use a bitrate setting.

  3. Convert and download

    Click Convert audio, then download the new file or save it to Google Drive. You can also pass it to Cut audio or Merge audio without uploading again.

Convert audio changes a song or recording into MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG or M4R. It helps when a phone, car stereo or editing app won’t open WMA, AMR or FLAC files, or when you only need the sound from a video. For MP3, M4A, OGG and M4R you also choose a bitrate of 128, 192 or 320 kbps.

  • Reads MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, WMA, Opus, AMR, M4R, AIFF and WebM audio files.
  • Pulls the soundtrack from MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, 3GP, FLV, WMV, MPEG and TS videos.
  • Six output formats: MP3, M4A (AAC), WAV (uncompressed), FLAC (lossless), OGG and M4R for iPhone ringtones.
  • Bitrate choices: 128 kbps for speech, 192 kbps for music, 320 kbps for the highest quality.
  • Only the extension changes: “lecture.wma” comes back as “lecture.mp3”.

자주 묻는 질문

Can I convert a YouTube link to MP3?

No. Links from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, SoundCloud, Spotify and other streaming sites aren’t supported for copyright reasons. A direct download link to an audio or video file works.

Which bitrate should I choose?

128 kbps is enough for lectures, calls and voice notes. 192 kbps suits most music, and 320 kbps gives the highest quality at a larger file size.

Will converting MP3 to FLAC or WAV improve the sound?

No. Detail removed by MP3 compression can’t be restored, so you only get a bigger file. FLAC and WAV make sense when the source is uncompressed or your editing software asks for WAV.

Can I use an M4R file as an iPhone ringtone?

M4R is the iPhone ringtone format, but ringtones can be at most 40 seconds long. For a longer song, use Cut audio to pick a section and save it as M4R.
